Newlyn's Statue
A fine bronze representation of a typical Newlyn fisherman at work has been installed at Tolcarne. For many years it has been felt that those who have lost sons , husbands or friends in fishing tragedies need somewhere, in the absence of a grave, to act as a focus for their grieving. Enthusiastic fund raising has been rewarded with a fine bronze on a prominent site, looking out to sea near Newlyn Green.
